But once you establish this culture, how do you keep the momentum? How do you move your team forward with you, how do you manage people from one stage to the next?

Below are my tips on how to manage your team:
Keep explaining the “why” until everyone fully understands
Remember that people are far more likely to execute a strategy wholeheartedly — even if they disagree with it —if they understand the “why”.
If your team were not involved in the decision making process, then it’s up to you as the leader to ensure they have the opportunity to buy in. It's important that everyone understands the situation.
And don’t assume that explaining something once is enough. Be prepared to keep explaining!
Anticipate objections and generate valid answers
In the process of explaining 'why' you will have to handle questions. Everyone will have a “why” question, and as a business leader you need to ensure you have the ability to answer the questions or open them up for further discussion.
Though questions and discussions are healthy, you shouldn't allow them to deviate from the original vision and plan.
Ownership – is your team totally committed?
The desired outcome for explaining the “why” and handling objections is ownership.
Ownership is about loyalty and growth. It’s not something that’s in your back pocket, it’s in the heart and mind. When people in your business reach this stage they are just as committed and motivated as you are. They have bought into your vision and dreams and accepted them as their own.
How to keep your team “above the line” and how to manage blame and excuses
Once ownership occurs with everyone taking responsibility for their own actions, how do you manage people into not giving excuses?
Within your business, make it a habit to ask more 'how' questions rather than 'why' questions. 'How' questions take you forward and solve problems, 'why' questions leave you going nowhere and looking for somebody to blame.
Salts of the Earth is a great example of a business that fully utilised these tactics.
