MIA Consulting Services and the owner, Deirdre Diamante, provide support and consultancy to businesses wanting to increase their business opportunities with the Victorian government. Deirdre explained that she didn't have the confidence to know how to build a highly successful business and didn't understand the structure required.
The Cartridge Family
The Cartridge Family is a family-run printer and consumables supply business that services businesses across Australia and New Zealand. Running a family business presents a number of difficulties, including communication problems between family members.
Having purchased the business in 2008, Chris Galea soon realised that the company was growing too fast and it was impossible for him to manage on his own, but he firmly believed in the product, saw the exporting potential and so he pushed through.
Five Star Locksmiths
Glenn, owner of Five Star Locksmiths, was struggling working 18 hours days. Once he joined the program he found direction, motivation and confidence and was made accountable for his own KPIs. He had a greater understanding of the importance of numbers. Glenn quickly realised he had to stop thinking like a locksmith and start thinking like a businessman.
